The boat, Gaia, is a Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 423 of about 13 meters, produced by one of the most important boat manufacturers in the world (Beneteau). It has one main saloon with a dining table, three suite cabins, one in the bow and two in the stern, and two bathrooms with showers. The table can be converted into a double bed if necessary. Gaia is a cruise oceanic boat, which means it is safe and comfortable and the living spaces, inside and outside, are generous and well laid out. The deck and cockpit have ample living space where time can be spent sunbathing or reading a good book. Gaia can host 6 guests.

Crew

We are an Italian/Brasilian couple who have decided to live our dream by combining our love for travel with our passion for nature. For us, the best compromise is living on a boat. We have been sailing together on our sailboat, Gaia, for about 4 years now. We started from Italy and the Mediterranean sea, since then we have sailed more than 15.000 nautical miles, including an Atlantic crossing, to finally arrive on the Carribean sea. We can fluently communicate in English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and French. Rodrigo was born in Brazil, he grew up next to the ocean and he managed to live his passion through the practice of different activities such as surfing, diving, fishing and sailing. He studied adverstisement and also became a passionate professional photographer. Since he was a child, Rodrigo has a natural inclination that led him into the habit of breaking things to check if he was able to fix them back. As an adult anyway this behaviour is pretty convenient when there is something to repair: he is the fastest repairman you could ever find! Giulia was born in Italy, since she was a child she was curious about the new and the unknown; so as an adult she used this curiosity to travel and discover new places and cultures. Between one journey and another she also managed to graduate at university (Foreign Literatures and Languages) and immediately decided to leave and to fly towards an unexpected destination…Brazil; taking the chance to work for an Ngo that deals with uncared-for children. Then she fell in love with the beautiful country and resolved to start travelling the way she had always dreamt of…just following her own intuition and going with the flow. In this way she managed to travel a good part of South America until she met Rodrigo and they began a new journey together.

Interior

The boat has one main saloon with a dining table, three suite cabins, one in the bow and two in the stern, and two bathrooms with showers. The table can be converted into a big double bed (in fact the biggest bed of the boat), if necessary so two more guests can sleep there in case of groups of 6 pepole. Gaia is a cruise oceanic boat, which means it is safe and comfortable and the living spaces, inside and outside, are generous and well laid out.
